No more wondering about international shipping! No more blanket pricing! I’ve stayed up all night tweaking the store so you can all now get calculated shipping right away. You’ll see it next time you order. Please email us if you discover anything fishy (it’s all brand new, and we’re getting used to the technology!).
Other tweaks: No longer do you order pages! Now it’s 2-page spreads. We figured, we don’t print or bind single pages, you have to buy a 2-page spread–so why don’t we call it that!? Keep it simple, right? So, don’t be thrown off by the name switch… It’s just that now the number of spreads you order will match up with the number of files you upload. Instead of ordering 20 pages and uploading 10 spreads; you’ll order 10 spreads and upload 10 files! Clean and simple!
UPS is the only shipping option right now. I’m working on getting USPS as another, but am waiting on them to activate the web account we’ve built for this purpose. I should know more tomorrow, so keep a look-out. We’ve got another exciting announcement coming soon, but we want to get it all dialed in before unleashing it on you! For those of you who have ordered, thanks for KISSing! For those of you who haven’t, what are you waiting for?! Take care.

First KISS
Hey, folks.
I just wanted to clarify some things about the party… I now have a new appreciation for wedding planners and the job they perform! A lot of things didn’t go right the night of the party. Obviously, the transportation was a train-wreck, and we thank all of you for your patience in that matter. Special shout out to Nathan Holritz and Timco for their jumping in and making multiple trips on our behalf. One of our limo drivers stopped looping for some reason, there was a wreck that caused problems with traffic, and it was LA! Who knew a less than 7-mile trip would take so long!? hahah.
At the club, while we did hire the “hooper,” for unique and fun entertainment, we did NOT hire (or request or approve of) the go-go girls who occupied the lit tables for much of the evening. That’s not the vibe we wanted to give off for the party and we’re sorry it happened. We wanted to get everyone in one place, have fun with the cool Photo Cabina, listen to music, and have a few drinks. We wanted it to be about community more than anything. So, we’re sorry to those of you who were offended by the go-go’s.
We’ve learned a good bit about throwing a party (it was our first). We wanted it to be fun, different, and memorable–but not offensive. So, I hope you can forgive us and understand as we grow through this!
Lastly, Shaun and I were the ones responsible for the logistics of this event. DJ would have loved to have been more involved, but his travel/speaking/buying a new home/being a rockstar schedule didn’t give him much (any!) free time; so he trusted Shaun and I with hammering out the details. Keats was a HUGE help in locating the venue, coming up with the unique hooper, providing Shootsacs, and other such things. She’s amazing and a genius! But the failures and disappointments of the evening rest squarely on Shaun and my shoulders.
Thanks to all of you who came, and we hope you enjoyed yourself and the company of your fellow photogs despite our shortcomings.
Sincerely,
Kevin Swan
Just got this email from David Burke. Thanks, David!

I’m in OC, with Shaun, getting ready for the party of the year tomorrow! I hope to see many of you there (and for those who can’t come, head to http://www.KISSandSHOWit.com for photos/video from the event!)
Can’t wait!
From Mitchell’s blog: (thanks for the post, Mitchell!)
I’ve been on the lookout for some awesome wedding book companies recently to add to my line of album options. A friend of mine from MySpace recommended a relatively new company who does sleek and simple albums. So I gave them a try.
A week later after I sent them my artwork I received my book all nicely packaged in bubble wrap. I was really impressed at the overall quality of the book. The company uses genuine Italian leather, the photos are phenomenal on 2mm thick paper. The wedding book comes in some retro style sleeve case. Of course you probably would never want to leave the book in there because the book is so nice and simple to leave out for display. The pictures below do not show any justice to the amazing quality of the book. This is something you have to see in person.

I love having photographers as our clients: they take such beautiful pictures of our products! Here’s Marina’s post on her blog. To quote her, “They are so thick and rich, like a good piece of dark chocolate…” Chocolate KISSes, we like that!
Here’s some of the great shots she took of her KISS Book:
