The wonderful Chris from Erin Chris Photography has posted a ROCKIN’ review (and pictures!) on OSP about his first experience with a KISS book.
Most people have heard about KISS wedding books if you are on OSP, but I wanted to give my official review. I’ll compare them to Graphi, Asuka, and WHCC.
Print Quality – KISS is by far the best of the brands mentioned above. The quality is absolutely amazing. Noticeably better than Graphi, Asuka, and WHCC.
Binding – KISS rocks. Lies flat, awesome for spreads, no distortions or warping.
Page Thickness – On their site, KISS says “juuuussst right” for the thickness, and I really have to agree. It is thick enough to be substantial, but not overly thick to waste space. I wouldn’t change the thickness at all. It is a little thicker than Graphi, decent amount thicker than WHCC, and way thicker than Asuka (all relative amounts of course since we are talking fractions of millimeters here)
Cover – Leather is smooth, supple, and it has a solid cover. Colors are rich (my black is great and the red that I have seen it a great red)
Options – This is one of those things that you know going in. KISS only has a few options. So if you don’t like leather, you are out of luck. But, it is their strategy and I love leather so it is cool with me. If you need lots of cover options, then KISS isn’t your thing, but they are very up front about that. Graphi has the most options for sizes and covers and what not, so I still plan to keep them in the lineup, but I certainly won’t be pushing them until I really know my client wouldn’t go for a KISS.
Customer Service – I actually have experience that I can comment on. First off, Kevin was ultra nice and helpful when I submitted my first album design to them. They automatically checked it over me (they check them all which is sweet). It got here quickly and it actually had a slight imperfection in the leather cover. Now, this wasn’t anything major and probably would have eventually settled in okay, but I sent Kevin an email about it and within the day, Shaun had already hooked me up with a DHL return label. The email responses were quick. They didn’t hesitate or 2nd guess me, and they paid to fix the issue. I got my album recovered and when it got back it was everything I knew it would be. You never really know how the service of a company is until something goes wrong. In my case, the issue was super minor, but they took care of me fully. So nice to finally have a company with the client in mind again.
Kevin and Shaun,
Thanks so much for taking care of me, producing a superior product, and giving me an album I really feel great showing my clients. KISS rocks. It’s that simple.

Thanks for KISSing!
