Scott Plauche gave us some love on his blog. Here’s the short of it:

We got our KISS wedding album samples in yesterday…and they are HOT. I love these things. The covers are made with Italian full-grain leather, they’re so soft and the color is so vibrant. The pages are so rich with color and the finish is fantastic. I wasn’t thinking when I shot these, but they come with some really swank cloth bags to wrap the sweetness in. I’m REALLY digging these books, and I’m sure you will too!

We chose the Forbidden Green and Redlight Red for our samples, and I was not disappointed. Sweet stuff going on here.

We received this delightful email from Sarah:

I received my sample album from you guys last night and I have to say it’s gorgeous! Beyond gorgeous! I want to carry it around clutched to my chest and sleep with it under my pillow, I love it so much! But I promise to refrain. :) Your customer service rocks and thanks for the Blow Pop enclosed with my order! I laughed out loud at the little surprise!

New Wedding Albums!
As many of you know, I’ll be showing my work and meeting with brides from all over the area at the Founders Inn tomorrow, Sunday January 13th. Quite a few weeks ago, a few weeks before the Christmas Holiday’s in fact, I called my album supplier to make sure I could get new sample albums in for all of you to see in time for this show. They said there was no way to get an album to me that “fast.” Needless to say, I was bummed. Not only to not be able to get new albums but that they didn’t seem to care their turnaround time was so long!

As fate would have it, I was talking to many wedding photographer contacts of mine and I came across a newer album company getting rave reviews across the board… I checked them out… talked to those who use them… and fell in LOVE! As it turns out, they have awesome turnaround time… you can even rush an order and get it shipped within a WEEK! How awesome is that! I have to brag about this comapny a bit, because this is how every company should be!

When I ordered my albums it was all so last minute that I hit “send” at about 2:30am. While uploading all my files I noticed the invoice pop into my inbox. I looked at it and to my surprise, one of the albums had “tempt-me tan” and not “forbidden green” next to it for the album cover! Knowing I would be sleeping in as I still had work to do I called to leave a message hoping to get it to them before my rush order was begun. I was a bit shocked when I actually reached a LIVE person. They told me it wasn’t a problem and it was changed no questions asked. I was already falling head over heels for the customer service! Thursday my albums arrived! How’s that for turnaround! I took them out and oh my gosh, I fell in complete love! From the feel of the leather to the beauty of each page! Outstanding quality! While going over my new 12×12 sample album, as I quality check everything before presenting or giving, I found an unfortunate error in printing. It was a result of a file trasfer problem that actually looked like an element of design unless you knew the layout and that there was part of the design missing. It was unfourtunate, and I really can’t blame them for not catching it… it seriously looked like a design element! But, this was Thursday, I needed these albums for Sunday!

I immeadiately called again, This time about 10:30am…. which is 7:30am on the West Coast. Once again I actually reached a person and described the issue. Of course they offered a re-print but I never thought they’d pull off the feat they did! Even though 12×12 books take longer to make and press (to prevent warping) they pulled off a miracle! TODAY, at 9:30am, I GOT THE REPRINT! They seriously worked long and hard to get it done and out to me, and they communicated with me the entire time letting me know the status and how we were looking to try and get it out by today. I’m beyond Amazed! They even send out emails throughout the entire process letting you know the status of the albums, analyzing files, sending to print, binding, shipping, etc… Amazing. Major props to Kiss Wedding Books! They even stamp the outside of the boxes with giant kissy lips!

I’m very excited to offer these albums. I actually presented them today to a potential 2009 bride and groom, both she and her fiance were loving them! (That’s the real test!) They are of outstanding quality, not only in materials and workmanship, but as a company! I’m posting some photos but these don’t do enough justice, you’ll have to stop by my booth to come see them for yourself!

Janine shoots in Portadown, Northern Ireland. She sent us this lovely email recently. Thanks so much, Janine–we hope to meet you someday!

I just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks! You made 3 of my customers very very happy over Christmas – all 3 albums arrived just before the holidays (one on Christmas Eve, how’s that for timing!!). I have had nothing but glowing reports about the books, the quality is amazing and everyone just loves the funky covers instead of fussy bulky boxes and briefcases.

I’ll stop gushing now, I just wanted to let you all know how happy I am with the service you provide, and more importantly for making ME look so good to my clients :)

Janine

PPA 2008 Review Jan 10th

PPA Was a BLAST! Apart from the facts that a)we weren’t listed in the program and b)we never got our carpet; we couldn’t have asked for a better show. Click on an image for a larger view!

img_8669.jpgHere’s some photos from the day. Here’s what our booth looked like when I got to the show.

img_8689.jpgThanks to Andrew and Rachel from LaCour, I wasn’t forced to get the KISSing booth set up all by myself. Here’s the booth, all set up, with one of our sponsored photographers, Mike Larson.

img_8692.jpgMike was generous enough to speak at our booth and run a great training session for fashion photography. Mike, being Mike, drew a crowd.

img_8675.jpg Here’s Nathan and Shaun, walking to Kinko’s for some last-minute craziness. I tried to put my hat on Nathan without crunching his perfectly spiked hair. It just made him look, well, like a dork.

img_8688.jpg Here’s a lovely, low-light, no-flash photo featuring Teddy (from Foto Cabina, our KISSing Booth provider!), Shaun, Suzy, and Rachel (Lacour). We love conventions because we get to see friends that live long distances away.

We can’t wait to meet more of you at WPPI!

Kev

Shaun and I had a blast meeting a bunch of our customers, hanging with Mike Larson and Nathan Holritz, meeting some great new folks (like the killer crew from Momento Images!), and even forging some new friendships with our competitors (Graphi and Leather Craftsman were so cool).

I’ll post a few photos as soon as I get my life back together on the ground. :)

Kevin

Here’s a link to a forum post by Stacy Cross on OSP. Here’s what she sed:

KISS Wedding Books, Reason #412 why I use them

First of all – you need to know – I really love KISS. I love the EASE of ordering through them, their amazing customer service, the gorgeous product they produce, and how fun they make the whole thing.

I am constantly amazed at how hard Kevin and Shaun work to make their customers happy. It’s really amazing! I don’t know how they have the time to do it, but they do – and they are a great example of how we should all treat those who we provide service to.

Great example – Kevin and I figured out that KISS was somehow not getting any of my emails this last couple of weeks, so he launched a full-out investigation (seriously – this had to take quite a bit of time) to figure out the problem. Once he figured it out, he had it fixed, and it’s over.

This is just one example of the MANY ways that KISS has wow-ed me in the short time they’ve had me as a customer. I just wanted to take the time to say that if you’ve been thinking about jumping on board with KISS, do it!!! What are you waiting for?? They are wonderful!

Love
Stacy

Thanks, Stacy!

PS: She just sent this in an email…

Many thanks to everyone at KISS for the guestbook album I received (order 1342) last week! It is GORGEOUS! You guys make me so happy. I made a GOOD decision when I went with yall!

Hugs,
Stacy

We love getting hugs from our clients, but we (of course) prefer KISSes!
